Examining the provisions that override the provisions of the labor system

Article 8 of the Saudi Labor Law represents the cornerstone of protecting worker rights and reinforces the principle of equality and justice in the working environment. The detail of this article shows the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to providing a fair and favorable work environment for workers, by canceling any condition that conflicts with the provisions of the law and emphasizing that any release or reconciliation does not cancel the rights arising for the worker unless it is more beneficial to the worker.

Text of Article Eight: Every condition that contravenes the provisions of this law is invalid, and every release or reconciliation of the rights arising for the worker under this law during the validity of the employment contract is void unless it is more beneficial to the worker.
