cited for all facilities of private sector that it's illegal to make workers sign on a promissory note to
ensure their commitment. This procedure is the contrary to article (20) of the
Saudi work system. The Ministry has emphasized all facilities to require the
ability of absolute and non- violations to avoid the organazied procedures and
decided sanctions.
The article (20) provides:
The employer or worker is not entitled to do an abuse of the provision of this
system or resolutions and regulations issued in accordance with its provisions.
No one of them is entitled to carry out a work that would press the freedom of
the other or of workers or employers to achieve any interest or point of view,
which contrary to the freedom of work or the competence of the competent authority
to accommodate disputes.
