New Service via "Baladi" Platform to Enhance Visual Appearance of Commercial Establishments in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has launched a service for temporary advertising permits via the "Baladi" platform and application. This service aims to organize temporary advertising boards on the facades of commercial establishments, elevating compliance with visual aesthetics and coordinating advertisements for discounts, services, or new products.

The ministry clarified in a press statement that the temporary advertising permit must be for a duration of 90 days, exclusively for services, discounts, or highlighting the establishment's own products. It emphasizes the arrangement and standardization of board sizes within the same building and ensuring consistency with other boards.

Furthermore, it is required that the boards not cause auditory or visual disturbances or contain content contrary to public taste. Installation of advertisements or promotional boards on building windows is prohibited, and approval from the Ministry of Commerce is necessary for permits related to discount advertising.

This service is part of a series of electronic services provided by the ministry to enhance user experience and enable commercial establishment owners to obtain temporary advertising permits in compliance with necessary regulations and standards, thereby preserving the attractiveness and overall appearance of commercial establishment fronts.

The service enables commercial establishment owners to obtain permits easily through the "Baladi" application, where they can input required information such as start date, duration, and type of board. After fulfilling requirements and paying the prescribed fee, the permit is issued. The service can be accessed through the link: https://bit.ly/3pnANFk.

It is worth noting that the "Baladi" platform offers more than 200 diverse digital services to facilitate municipal sector needs, supporting ease of doing business and enhancing quality of life in Saudi cities, in addition to improving the level of municipal services provided in all governorates and municipalities.
