The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority is calling on businesses to submit their Value Added Tax (VAT) returns for the previous January.

The General Authority of Zakat, Tax, and Customs has called upon businesses in the sector subject to Value Added Tax (VAT), with annual supplies exceeding 40 million Saudi Riyals, to submit their tax returns for the previous January by no later than February 29th.

Entities are encouraged to expedite their tax filings through the official website (zatca.gov.sa) or via the authority's smartphone application (ZATCA) to avoid penalties for late submission, ranging from 5% to 25% of the tax amount.

Furthermore, businesses seeking more information about VAT are invited to contact the unified call center at 19993, available 24/7, or through the "Ask Zakat, Tax, and Customs" account on platform (X) (@Zatca_Care), via email ([email protected]), or through instant messaging on the authority's website (zatca.gov.sa).

VAT is one of the prevailing tax systems in the Kingdom, an indirect tax imposed on all goods and services purchased and sold by entities, with some exceptions.
