Introducing the Unified Electronic Code Service: A Revolution in Saudi Economic Affairs in Collaboration with Government Ministries

The Saudi Center for Economic Activities has launched the Unified Electronic Code service in collaboration with the Ministries of Commerce, Municipal and Rural Affairs, Housing, the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority, and the General Directorate of Civil Defense.

The service aims to provide the latest electronic and reliable data of establishments, addressing the visual distortion phenomenon resulting from the requirement for establishments to display their key data certificates at their headquarters and branches. Additionally, it aims to reduce the time spent on monitoring and inspection operations.

In its initial phase, the service includes linking data from commercial records, municipal licenses, tax certificates, and civil defense permits with the unified electronic code. Subsequent phases will encompass all operational data and licenses.

The Unified Electronic Code service contributes to ensuring data accuracy and enhancing transparency in the business sector by enabling consumers to access establishment documents and certificates electronically.

Business owners can easily access the service through the Saudi Center for Economic Activities' business platform via the following link: https://www.saudibusiness.gov.sa/.

It is worth noting that the Saudi Center for Economic Activities offers over 750 services through its 17 local branches spread across 14 cities in the Kingdom. The center plays various roles, aiming to facilitate the initiation and practice of economic activities in the Kingdom, including proposing the development of policies and procedures in collaboration with relevant government entities, reviewing them, and redesigning them to be more streamlined and cost-effective.
