His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, issued a ministerial decision amending the schedule of violations and penalties for the labor system and its executive regulations. This decision continues the ministry’s ongoing endeavor to review labor market regulations, support the stability and growth of establishments, preserve workers’ rights, and increase the attractiveness and flexibility of the labor market. .
The Ministry explained that the new amendments included adjustments to the value of all violations, according to the classification of the establishment category, which depends on the number of workers in it. Category A includes establishments with 50 workers or more, Category B includes the number of workers from 21 to 49, and Category C includes establishments with 20. One worker or less, taking into account the values of these violations in a way that contributes to achieving compliance and supporting establishments, as these amendments aim to improve the labor market environment by adapting financial fines to the sizes of establishments in the private sector.
