The Arabic language occupies a special place and must be used in the work environment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and this comes following Article Nine of the Saudi Labor Law. It is clear from this article the importance of using the Arabic language in all aspects of practical relations, including data, records, files, and employment contracts, in addition to any decisions issued in the implementation of the provisions of the system.
Text of Article Nine of the Labor Law: The Arabic language must be used in data, records, files, employment contracts, and other matters stipulated in this Law, or in any decision issued in implementation of its provisions, as well as the instructions issued by the employer to his workers.
If the employer uses a foreign language in addition to the Arabic language in any of the cases above, the Arabic text is used exclusively.
