The Wage Protection System Commitment Certificate is a document issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, and this is done based on a request from the establishment or company to prove the establishment's commitment to the Wage Protection System and also its commitment to everything related to the process of managing employees' salaries. Below we learn about the steps for issuing a Wage Protection Commitment Certificate and the required conditions.
To obtain a Wage Protection Commitment Certificate, some conditions must be met in these establishments, including:
1- This establishment is registered in the Wage Protection System.
2- The establishment's commitment to paying workers' wages on time.
3- The establishment's compliance with Saudi regulations and laws, and its commitment to implementing the Saudi labor system.
4- The Saudization rate must not be less than 80% as a minimum to obtain the certificate.
The Wage Protection System allows the issuance of a commitment certificate for all establishments, for several purposes, the most prominent of which are:
1- Documenting all wage payment operations and creating a comprehensive database for this establishment.
2- Enhancing the ability of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to monitor the extent of these establishments' commitment to paying salaries according to the specified agreements.
3- Ensuring that all parties, whether workers or employers, obtain all their rights, which contributes to enhancing confidence in the labor market.
4- Reducing disputes that may arise between workers and employers and ensuring stability of relations between the parties.
5- Encouraging establishments to adhere to and comply with labor regulations, avoid penalties, and ensure business continuity without facing any obstacles.
The Wage Protection System Commitment Certificate remains valid for 60 days from the date of its issuance. After this period expires, it is invalid and the employer must renew it and issue a new certificate, which allows the Ministry of Human Resources to monitor the extent of the owner of this establishment's commitment to paying wages to employees by what was agreed upon in the employment contract.
