The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the implementation of Saudization (nationalization) for the professions of sales, purchasing, and project management, in collaboration with supervisory authorities, effective from Sunday, 11/6/1445 AH, corresponding to 24/12/2023 AD. This comes as part of the ministry's efforts to provide a stimulating, productive, and stable work environment for citizens in various regions of the Kingdom, enhance their participation in the labor market, and strengthen their contribution to the economic system.

Saudization for sales professions will be at a rate of 15%, including key roles such as Sales Manager, Retail Sales Manager, Sales Specialist, Wholesale Sales Manager, and IT and Communications Sales Specialist.

The Saudization rate for purchasing professions will be 50%, covering positions like Purchasing Manager, Purchasing Representative, Contract Manager, Tender Specialist, and Purchasing Specialist.

In the initial phase, Saudization for project management professions will be at a rate of 35%, encompassing roles such as Project Manager, Project Management Specialist, Project Director, Project Office Specialist, Telecommunications Project Manager, and Business Services Project Manager.

The ministry emphasizes its commitment to providing incentives and support to assist private sector establishments in employing Saudis, including support for recruitment, training, qualification, and ongoing employment. Employers are encouraged to benefit from all Saudization support programs available in the system and support programs through the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF).

The ministry has issued an informative guide detailing the decisions regarding the Saudization of professions and the implementation mechanism. It stresses the importance of establishments adhering to and implementing the provisions to avoid legal penalties that will be applied to violators.
