Article Eleven of the Saudi Labor Law represents one of the basic pillars governing the employer’s relationship with the individuals he assigns to perform his work. This article addresses the obligation of the person who receives an assignment to perform work from the employer, whether this person is natural or legal.
Text of Article Eleven: If the employer entrusts any natural or legal person to carry out one of his original works, or part thereof; The latter must give his workers all the rights and benefits the original employer gives to his workers.
An article bearing the number (eleventh bis) was added under Royal Decree No. (M/46) dated 6/5/1436 AH; With the following text:
“Without prejudice to the provisions of this law and related regulations, the Minister may take measures that will ensure the improvement of the performance of the labor market and regulate the labor movement.”
